Thats it! All you need to get your 25% cashback from eBay via Quidco.

There are a couple of rules to notice on this offer.

What will stop me earning cashback?

  • If your purchased product cost is less than £1
  • If you don’t pay for your order in full
  • If you apply an additional discount that reduces your overall purchase price, this may cause your cashback to be declined or reduced. e.g Voucher codes, student discount, staff discount
  • If you pay for your purchase using gift card
  • If you purchase a gift card & gift vouchers
  • If your purchase is not fully completed online
  • If you participate in any other offer/ promotion that is not covered in the retailer Cashback rates
  • The maximum cashback amount per basket is £10

I’ve highlighted two of them. The first one suggests that you can’t use a discount code – currently there is 10% off various sellers on eBay via a code. If you want the 25% cashback then make sure you DON’T use this code.

The second one says two things to me.

a) You get a maximum £10 cashback per basket. This means that to maximise your cashback you want to buy an item that is £40 before shipping costs.

b) It suggests (but it is in no way confirmed) that you could purchase from eBay multiple times today and get that 25% Cashback on each basket you buy. Good if you have a few items you were planning on buying from eBay.

Other Details

Based on the ‘card’ on the front page, this ends at midnight on Sunday 2nd August.

The Reverend’s Final Thought

This offer actually appeared yesterday and showed that the maximum cashback would be £50 and not the £10 being offered today. I do hope anyone who purchases yesterday actually gets their cashback. They ended yesterdays’ offer not long after it was confirmed – I did check with Quidco’s Twitter team who told me it was a valid.

As yesterday’s was closed with no warning and today’s has a confirmed end time, I suspect this was put live earlier than planned!

Remember! Cashback is not guaranteed so don’t rely on it to make your purchase cheaper. Look at it as a bonus and if it is paid out then great! If not, you can raise a claim with Quidco but this may take month/years to complete and you still might not get your cashback at the end of it.
