  1. I notice you only get 10 points instead of 25 now for sharing on social media. But you can keep going and going, how many can you share?

      2. It looks like Virgin have capped the points for sharing a page – I got no points for sharing today.
        Please can someone remind me what is the latest limit again? Sounds like officially it’s 50 but I think I read it somewhere that someone managed to bag 800 points for sharing?

    2. I got 500 points for sharing at 10 points each. I just kept going. This on top of being verified, changing my profile pic and and doing quiz!!

  3. I’m registered with three Virgin companies but only received points for one this morning.

    I managed to ‘share’ 45 times for 450 points.

  4. A tip for iPhone users (and maybe others too – I haven’t tested it). [some may already have seen this tip elsewhere or the Reverend includes it – if so, apologies for repeating]

    With the referrals now being 50 x 10pts, I realised that you get the points even if you click on the ‘copy link’ option when presented with the phone’s forwarding options. It saves a lot of time and the hassle of actually forwarding 50 messages to yourself.

    3. When you share the first thing you get the you’ve won 10 points, just share that to notes rather than going back and finding a fresh page to share. It’s less clicks and you can see each time you do it how close you are to the next vault

    Tip for everyone, I managed to gather 600 points by sharing 60 times, so don’t assume it stops at 50!

    As mentioned in thread above, you can use the copy link (Susan had another method too) and gain the points without actually sending anything to anyone/anywhere.

  12. I don’t think you get 50 points any longer for a profile picture change.

    According to the log under settings, I have received 800 points for sharing – that was 80 emails to myself — so in with an excellent chance of making the final vault. Having played for two or three years every month, I have yet to win a thing. But at least it takes up some of my day during lockdown

    1. I don’t seem to have a log on Android, but just got 50 for changing my picture. I’ve found in previous months it doesn’t seem to give you points for this if you do it the first day or two? I’m now up to 1440, quite a bit still to go. Could be tricky this month if no bonus codes!

  14. Where are you copying the link from, I’m using the app on my iPhone and can’t see any link to copy?

    1. For me it comes whenever I achieve new points for example when I get 25 points for This or That. When that pop up screen appears there is a symbol in the top right hand corner of the pop up screen which looks a bit like two sides of a triangle. Click that and it gives you the option of sharing the news that you won those points and are playing the game. Once shared it pops up with another you’ve won 10 points message with the same symbol and so you just keep repeating.

  18. Great news there are bonus codes on the way, will keep an eye out.
    For anyone still not sure about how to get points for sharing, just open any of the tiles in the app (eg virgin wines), in the top right you’ll see the box/arrow forward icon, click that and the platform options will appear below eg sms, email, WhatsApp etc. Below this (at least on an iPhone) you’ll see the copy icon – as Graham pointed out, you can simply click this and the points will be awarded without having to send the link anywhere. Or any of the methods others have mentioned above. Oddly, there seem to be different limits to how many times you can do this to get points – I managed 60 (600 points) whereas Bob (good for you!) managed 80 and others a different total. Hope this helps

    1. I didn’t know they had reduced the sharing points from 25 to 10 until I checked my history today. Also didn’t know they had upped the number you could do from 5 to 50+ until I came here so many thanks for the heads up.
      I can confirm that you don’t actually have send something to get the sharing points on Android either. I use Twiiter and just hit cancel when it displays the tweet for confirmation. Still get the points and it’s always done that even before they changed it this month.

      1. the virgin red app has a load of tabs where they give you info on diff subjects, do some marketing on their and partners’ products and services… etc. It’s the first thing that comes up when you open the app

  24. I’ve found the Bonus Code as well, just can’t find a way to actually enter it, anyone know how you do this?

    1. In V Red app click on Explore tab on top right hand corner. Enter a code is in the list at the bottom that pops up second from the bottom.

  28. Does anyone know what the Show And Tell section is actually for? Other than giving points out, what do Virgin use it for? I’ll be honest, I just take a photo of the floor each time

      I just think its for Virgin Red to give you 50 points. I know they used to share photos back in the app.

      The terms & conditions say that you grant VR ‘an irrevocable, perpetual, royalty-free, non-exclusive, worldwide, transferable license to publish, play, copy. modify, create derivative from..’

      So they ‘may’ use it but I’ve not seen anything I’ve submitted anywhere – and I doubt they’d use it!

      People do read the T&C’s, don’t they?

  29. Is anyone buying Virgin Atlantic airmiles? Is it still safe to do so with the coronavirus uncertainty and now redundancies?

    1. I’ve just spent mine on a deposit to Orlando for December 2021, my thinking was if they go under then i’d lose them anyway

        1. When I went to purchase my holiday via virgin holidays it gave me an option once I had filled in names etc to log in and pay via airmiles, it uses them as payment so it takes the deposit first, also save 7% on the holiday price aswell

    1. I found FITNESS as a bonus code in the Workout tab today which I can’t see listed above.
      Have they also changed the bonus releases as I’m sure it said they were in the app pages and not on other social media.

  51. I can’t seem to complete the bonus on show and tell tile. It won’t let me submit. I’m using an iPad. Has anyone else the same problem?

  54. The ‘Done’ button is white writing on a nearly white background, so it might be difficult to see. It’s to the right of the the ‘Description Here’ button. If you kindly tap on this, it will close your keyboard and reveal the Submit button.

  55. Yes I had the same hassle with Show and Tell on my iPad. I just kept pressing buttons left, right and center. Finally I got the Submit button to appear so I could get 50 points – now I can’t recall which button solved the problem. Hey ho!

    1. Yes, I can’t find it anywhere. Once I’ve got into VIP vault (which is a little too easy these days) Flash Fridays are one of the few things that get me on Virgin Red for the rest of the month. Hope they’re just being lazy and it will come on later.

  60. I’ve seen a recent exchange with VirginRed on Twitter about winners.

    Someone asks why there are so few winners from London, and Virgin Red says winners are chosen by computer at random and only the winners’ counties are then displayed. They then say that London wouldn’t be shown because it’s a city but they’ve had winners in all the “four counties covering London”.

    As London is its own county with a huge population, you’d expect to see far more VirginRed winners. However, if Londoners are being filtered out, it would go some way to explaining why some of us long dedicated players, have never won a sausage…

    1. I have lived in Warwickshire, Lancashire and Cumbria over the past few years and although I have always played and always get in the VIP vault, I have yet to win anything. I don’t think it matters where you live.
