Café Rouge – Offers

Café Rouge Offers – January 2023

You wait for a Café Rouge offer and then two come along at once! Now it has been a while since I’ve been to a Café Rouge but these certainly might tempt me back there. Do be aware that these were emailed to me so make sure you are signed up to the Café Rouge Newsletter. If you aren’t already signed up then you’ll get a £10 off voucher off your next bill a couple of hours after subscribing.

Café Rouge Offer Number One – £10 off EVERY DAY

Now this is something that could be very tempting! Get £10 off 1 bill a day EVERY DAY in January. So if you eat at Café Rouge every day, you could save £310! To get this you will need to sign up to ‘Rouge Rewards

A really strange one is that I can’t actually see the Terms & Conditions anywhere. It mentions they apply, but doesn’t link to them anywhere on the email. There isn’t a main course under £10 (near me, anyway!) with the closest being the garden salad for £10.95. In theory you could pay just 95p and get this made and brought to you. Probably cheaper than trying to recreate the salad at home! Personally I’d pay the £7.95 extra and get the 2 course set menu – French Onion Soup followed by the Demi Poulet!

I will highlight, again, that I can’t see the t&cs so I’ve no idea what traps they’ve set to stop you getting a cheap meal.

Offer Number Two – Weekly Offers

Week 1 – 1st to 8th January – 51% off Mains During The First Week of January

Another great offer landed in the email inbox trying to get me to spend my hard earned cash at Café Rouge. This time the offer lasts from the 1st January to the 8th January and will give you 51% off all mains!

51% off mains is great! There is no requirement to have a starter (or dessert!)

Fillet steak would cost you £13.50 instead of £27.
Beef Bourguignon would drop to £8.75 instead of £17.50.
Or my favourite, the Demi Poulet for £8 instead of £15.95.

Remember your prices may be different, so do check before you go. You’ll need to have received this email to get this offer as you’ll need to click the ‘Get Code’ button to actually get the code. Looks like they’ve finally created a landing page for this so you can see what the terms and conditions are – check out this link.

Week 2 – 9th to 15th January – £5 Croques (or French Omlette)

Changing it up, week 2 sees you getting a £5 Croque Monsieur, Croque Madame or French-rolled Omelette. A Croque Madame is usually £11.50 round my way so you are saving £6.50. The biggest saving of the lot. Check out this link for more details. Only available during ‘lunchtime’ (from mid-day to 4pm).

Week 3 – 16th to 22nd January – 50% off Mains

almost as good as week one, just a single percent worse! Check out this link for details.

Week 4 – 23rd to 31st January – Free bottle of wine with any 2 main courses.

The cheapest bottles of wine (both red and white) is £19.50 and I’m assuming this is the wine you’ll get!. If you both had fillet steak during the 50% off weeks you’d save £13.50 per person. This would give you £27 to spend on wine. You could ‘upgrade’ to any of their £25 bottles or you could choose to ‘pay’ an extra £1 and have a very agreeable Cotes Du Rhone to go with your steak.

Café Rouge Reviews

I have visited a couple of Café Rouge. You’ll find the reviews below.

The Reverend’s Final Thought

Yeah, I know. Its been a while. But I’m back and sharing this before its even being pimped out by the Money Saving Expert Himself! Talk about keeping my ear to the pulse (or whatever the phrase is!). I know that not everyone has spare cash at the moment, and I also know that if people do have a bit of cash to spend while out, they want to make sure they make their money go as far as possible. I doubt the two offers can be combined but even so, you can get a nice meal out, in an enjoyable setting, for about what Deliveroo/Ubereats charge in fees to get a takeaway delivered.
