Virgin Red are back with another competition for August – Date Night! There are a number of prizes you can win by taking part everyday. There could also be bonus codes given out which can increase your points so keep an eye out for them on the Virgin Red twitter feed and facebook page. Sign up to Virgin Atlantic (it is free) and get 250 points a month for no effort! It takes only a minute and will increase you monthly points total by 250 points. Don’t forget to go into the app and enter you membership number to get the points.

The Reverend’s Tip #3

If you put a new profile picture up on the app you’ll get an extra 50 points. It looks like you can only do this once a month but it is an easy 50 points for this competition.

When you complete vaults or answer questions  you are able to use the button on the top right to send an email telling people. You can only do it five times per month and each one gives you an extra 25 points.

  11. Hi, i’m relatively new to Red and i was just wondering about the Verified companies to gain extra monthly points. I don’t use Virgin Trains as they do not operate in my part of the country, but if i was to purchase a cheap single ticket (but obviously not use it) would this be enough to constitute a Trains account to be verified on Red?

      I believe a number of people have done exactly what you describe. It is not something I’ve done myself, so I can’t confirm personally.

I recently purchased an advanced single ticket for a West Midlands train service using the virgin trains website and within about 48 hours of booking (and before date of travel) was able to verify with virgin trains in the virgin red app – so it doesn’t matter if the ticket is used or not and doesn’t even need to be a virgin service! I expect it has to be on the west coast mainline though.

      The vaults don’t have codes – you open them with points you get from completing the daily actions.

      Occasionally Virgin Red does give out codes which have extra points however there haven’t been any released for August yet.

  24. Hello Everyone.

    Looks like Virgin Red updated the quiz this morning for the final quiz question. It changed the answer from 10 to 11. Strangly when I first logged in to check it had my answer as 10 but now it shows my answer as 11!

  26. Anyone know if the Papa John’s buy one get one for £1 works for delivery and multiple pizzas? I seemed to have missed the cheap XXL pizza codes a few days ago but looking to order a few tomorrow :(:(

      I’m not sure on that. Maybe someone else knows the answer. Gut Feeling is they wouldn’t let it work for multiple pizzas however I do know Papa Johns often has 50% of if you spend £45 so that would easily be 2 xxl pizzas and may actually be cheaper than using the Buy One Get One for £1 code.

  27. At the bottom of the meal or deal page it says don’t forget to share this with your date for an extra 25 points and a bonus entry, but I can’t do it. I tried sharing g by email and Facebook but nothing happens and no bonus entry.
    Any ideas?

  28. Anyone know how the Bella Italia offer works? I saw potential free meal if checked today so I got a voucher, has a V at the start so means free meal, which is great. However it says the voucher expires tonight? It does also say to screenshot it to keep it. T&Cs imply good until end of the month but not sure with voucher expiring. Have tweeted them but wondered if anyone else knew?

  30. Hi Rev. Answer to question 1 today is not “both” so just missed out on 50 points 🙁 thoightnyou shoold know somyou can update. There’s no way of taking the quiz a 2nd time is there? Lol!

  32. Went with your answers today 16/8/18 in the quiz and the first answer you give is wrong. When I put the answers in it came back 2/3 correct. The answer you gave is both but they say it’s just kids magazine

  34. Hi Rev, I am now on 1600 points. 900 left for the VIP. Wondering if anyone similar because I missed out on last month’s VIP. I think you need more than 2 verified companies or you don’t get close to enough points. I have done everything BTW. Thoughts?

      They give out about 350 points a week so I think you might end up 200 points short. They may give out additional point codes at some point. The other option is to try to get people to use your join-up code.

      Have you shared from inside the app? You can email links to yourself for 25 points (x5).

      The final option, if you want a 3rd verification is that some people buy cheap virgin eastcost train tickets to get an additional verification. I’ve not done it myself but it is an option.

    Followed by “How many runner up prizes are there on the Kid’s page?” – 25

  45. Hmm 200pts to go, not sure I’ll make VIP vault this month – not helped by the ‘changing answers’ quiz this month, which cost me 50pts.

      I think there is only 125 points (ish) left this month so you might not get into the vault. You could wait to do the this Show & Tell next month to carry over that 50 points. That’s probably the best outcome from where you are now.

  50. Does anyone know the answers to the papa john’s takeover quiz question 1 is ‘ Papa Rewards gives you 1 point per what you spend….can’t find the info answers to choose from are £4, £7 and £10, thanks.
