What Did I Play Last Week – Sunday 14th April
Its been a mixed week this week. Here is a rundown of what I’ve been playing. If you fancy checking out my gaming credentials then I’ve blogged about how I’m unashamedly an adult gamer.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4
The classic time sink! I have put a few hours in this week on this game. I’ve still not Prestige although I’m at the correct level to do it. I am planning on trying something with this once I’m ready for it, involving something I’ve started this week. I’m currently trying to level up all the guns to MAX before I prestige so I might be some time!
SOMA
Looking for something with some Jump Scares from my gaming library. I downloaded this and it just didn’t click for me. The first scene you play involves you finding some medicine in your flat. I can find medicine in my flat in real life, I don’t need a game to whisk me away to a fantasy land to experience that!
The premise of the game seemed good, and I think the story sounded interesting but after about an hour of it, I turned it off.
Tropico 5
A bit of a left-field choice for me. I wanted to play something a little different and this game did that for me. Being the 1337 gamer I am I decided not to play the tutorial and jump right in! What a mistake to make! After the game telling me I’m rubbish I had to play the tutorial and then could start it again. This time I did a lot better.
Its a bit like Sim City meets Civilizations. Its not enough ‘Sim City’ for me and a little more ‘Civilizations’.
Still, I’ve managed to complete the first 2 ‘levels’ and I’m now onto the third. I wonder if I will keep playing this?
How Am I Playing Them?
As always, I’m on my trusty launch-day PS4. It sounds a bit like a hoover on full whack so I think it might be on its last legs at some point but it still plays games. I am trying to hold off buying a PS4 Pro as its a big old unit and I’m not too bothered about playing in 4k (or Pseudo 4k) as when I’m playing 1080p on my 55″ screen I think the picture looks ace!
What’s Next?
More gun leveling up on COD:BLOPS4. Boring but I want to do it before I prestige. Then I’ve got to finish Red Dead Redemption 2…. I’m on Epilogue 2 so not long to go at all. I still have two Assassin’s Creed games to finish and I’ll still then be at least 2 games behind in the series (Egypt & Rome I’ve not got yet).
