TopCashBack (TCB) are back with another ‘Treat’ game this Halloween – TopCashBack Trick or Treat! They have done this previously with Summer, Hallowe’en, Christmas, Travel Treats, Easter Treats and Sweet Treats. Every day they will reveal clues and you have to guess the retailer they relate to. Click on the correct retailer to see the TCB Hummingbird appear. Click on the Hummingbird and you can win a treat! It could be instant cashback into your account or a prize-draw entry.

    1. Hi Lucrezia,

      They tend to be random for people so different people can get the hummingbird on different pages. Some people spend the whole competition just clicking through every single page to get the extra ones.

      Every day of the competition, TCB do make one page a guarenteed hit and this is the one they give a clue to as part of the daily clue.

  15. Thanks for the clue – EMP is a new site for me but looks like it caters for XXXXLs like me
    Got the bird quite quickly but as I waited for my prize I got an error message saying whoops!
    I found a page which listed my daily prizes but forgot to note the link
    Can anyone help me find it as I not only want to check what if anything registered today but I am also sitting nervously on 3 Jarred Eyeballs………..

  16. Sorry I meant to add that once I have found the day’s clue site, hit the Get Cashback Now button and been directed to the new tab for that day’s clue, I go back to the initial day’s clue site
    The ‘We’ve recorded your visit’ box comes up and I wait for the bird to fly into this box
    Always seems to arrive quite quickly

    3. Have noticed that sometimes when you mess up after you’ve seen the hummingbird. If you leave the page alone for a couple of hours and then go back to it after shutting down your PC, the hummingbird will return to that page. You have to leave the page alone for a while for the hummingbird to recover.

      1. It can be a pain but I find leaving the website alone for an hour or so you’ll be able to get the hummingbird later on.

        It always will appear on the page the clue is about, but sometimes first in the morning it can take a while to appear.

      Thats the basic way of playing it and how I play.

      Some people send the day clicking through every retailer they can to see whether they get the hummingbird. I don’t have time to do that so don’t.

      All the answers given on my blog post (except some of the bonuses as they are random) should give you valid hummingbirds.

  35. I found MandMdirect.com more by luck than judgement
    I got yet another PDE so still waiting for my 4th Jarred Eyeball………..
    I trawled round early clues as I started late to see if I find it no luck but did add a 2nd Cauldron
    and a 3rd Witches Hat so now have 3 needing just one more plus 16 PDEs!!!!

  51. Clue for the 28th – Carphone Warehouse – Yet another Prize Draw Entry for me
    So I am still sitting nervously on 3 Jarred Eyeballs and have been for over a week………..
    I also have 2 Cauldrons and a 3rd Witches Hat so now have 3 needing just one more plus 20 PDEs!!!!
    I was searching for car insurance yesterday and got a bonus from Endsleigh albeit yet another PDE but I eventually bought my policy from them

  61. So far I have only scored three eyeballs and a pumpkin for a total of 60p.

    Even if I get all 3 right over the next 3 days it’s possible that I don’t win any more.

    I only need one hand, one cauldron and one potion.

    I need 2 broomsticks, 2 hats and 2 jars.

    So if I get 1 broomstick, 1 hat and 1 jar I barely touched the sides.

      This is what happens to a lot of accounts, I guess. They can’t have everyone winning big prizes. My board is almost complete for a lot of things but I guess I will win a lot of 1 x Prize Draw Entries and no actual big prizes.

      1. Yes, you can send the tweet out. However, depending on which browser you are using, for example, if you are using Firefox Mozilla you don’t get credited 5. If you are using Microsoft Edge you are automatically credited 5 and you don’t even have to tweet.

          1. The developers of the game don’t have the time to test their software on every browser so there are inevitably going to be differences in how the software behaves.

      When I’ve won (and I’ve only ever won 10p or 50p!) they have taken a day or two to appear in my TopCashBack account.

  67. I had a spare 3 days so used them to click on every single merchant on topcashback, having done so, I can confirm that it isn’t possible to complete the sets of cauldrons, witches hats etc. I can only assume this is a con.

      Its not a ‘con’ – different people different results. The Hummingbirds appear randomly so even if you click one merchant today and you don’t get something, at another time you might.

      The reverse of this is that when people post that they found an ‘x’ on a certain merchant it doesn’t mean everyone will get the same and even more so, it doesn’t mean every will get something on that page.

      The only pages guaranteed to give you something are the daily clues but they don’t guarantee you a prize as you might just get a Free Prize Draw Entry.

    2. Shaz, Just for fun I clicked on all of them too. From A to Z and the numbers for a grand total of 60p. Yesterday I started redoing some of the letters and was finding hummingbirds in places where they weren’t before. They are much rarer now. But they do still appear and eventually depending on luck and patience you might get a larger payout of £5 or £10.

      I’ve been doing it for fun but when it isn’t fun anymore it’s time to move on because we are obviously not going to earn a worthwhile living hunting hummingbirds.

  73. Wouldn’t you believe it. Worked hard to find 5 more PDEs only to find a jar which leaves me one jar short. I don’t think it’s possible to find another 5 PDEs today. Too worn out to try.

    1. The competition is over now. I’m not sure if they give all the cash away as the banner says ‘still £2600 to win’ and based on that, £1300 is the main prize so there is still £1300 unclaimed.

      PRobably just a delay in updating the banner but it would be interesting to know whether all the cash is given away or some of it just can’t be won.
