Virgin Red are back with another competition for April! There are a number of prizes you can win by taking part everyday. There could also be bonus codes given out which can increase your points so keep an eye out for them on the Virgin Red twitter feed and facebook page. Check back here every day to find the latest Virgin Red Vault Competition Answers. You can also see the bonus codes I’ve found below!

Sign up to Virgin Atlantic (it is free) and get 250 points a month for no effort! It takes only a minute and will increase you monthly points total by 250 points. Don’t forget to go into the app and enter you membership number to get the points.

The Reverend’s Tip #3

If you put a new profile picture up on the app you’ll get an extra 50 points. It looks like you can only do this once a month but it is an easy 50 points for this competition.

The Reverend’s Tip #4

When you complete vaults or answer questions  you are able to use the button on the top right to send an email telling people. You can only do it five times per month and each one gives you an extra 25 points.

  3. I am verified with Virgin Media, Virgin Atlantic and Virgin Credit Cards. Should the 250 points for each be added automatically? I have had to remove all of the verifications and add them again to get it his month.

          Then click on the ‘June Vaults’ section (in red, in the middle)
          Then you’ll see a carousel down the bottom and the first tile should be ‘EARN POINTS – ENTER A CODE’
          Click there and type the code in.

      Where did you spot that? Its rare (but not impossible) that they release 2 large codes in one day.

      If it was just a guess then it is possible it will be an answer later in the month so I’ll leave it in the comments for now but will add it when we get to the right point in the month.

            People can guess at answers if they want. There are few comments where people have guessed an answer but the blog post only contains items that have been ‘released’ by the Virgin Red game.

  9. Each month, since December, I’ve been sharing 5 posts to my Facebook to get the bonus 25 points per post.
    I have just been notified by Facebook that all of this month’s posts have been removed and marked as spam!
    I’ve never had any problems before.
    Has anyone else had this happen?

      I don’t share to FB So I can’t help with that but I do just email myself (to a spare email address) and I always get the points even if I share to the same email address all 5 times.

      1. Hi guys, just a quick tip about the sharing thing. If you have whatsapp, you can click share via that and then immediately come back out of the app (click cancel), and still receive the 25 referral points. Works a charm as I hate spamming friends!

    I responded to the Facebook reports, telling them they aren’t spam, they’ve listened to me and have unmarked them as spam.
    I always share them on the ‘only me’ privacy setting so the posts don’t clog up my friends’ feeds.
    I was just curious to know if others had had Facebook do this. 😀

    1. Probably a good idea to tell FB they aren’t spam. But I’d say sharing via other means (and not actually send them) might be a ‘safer’ way to do it so you don’t get your account flagged by FB.

      2. Hi Susan,

        The first tile on the app shows the 4 questions they’ve asked so far. The answers to these can be added to the app and you’ll get bonus points. You’ll see these on my blog as ‘BONUS codes’ and are worth varying amounts.

        On previous monthly Virgin Red competitions people have just typed in loads of words relating to the ‘topic’ of the month (this month it is ‘staycation’) and some of them have given them points. However, later in the month the Virgin Red team have then released them as a bonuses. Not a problem at the moment but previous competitions have had weekly prizes and by putting an answer in not during that week has meant they couldn’t take part in that week’s competition as the app would say they have already used the code, which they had.

        For that reason, on this blog I only post up when I have proof that it is a legitimate code. You’ll see on my blog posts for previous competitions, I’ve linked to the appropriate social media pages/etc so that people can see exactly where the code has come from.

        Basically, my blog posts are just me taking part in the competition as normal. Everything I post in the blog is what Virgin Red would expect to see for anyone playing the game.

        Some people like guessing the answers and getting the VIP vault as quickly as possible. They post the bonuses they’ve found in the comments but I don’t add them to my blog post for the reasons I’ve given above. Usually, their codes would appear in my blog-post eventually as Virgin Red release them as clues.

        Its only a game, don’t worry too much about it.

  17. Hi Reverend….

    Forgot to ask on last month’s post. In the last week Virgin Red were offering a limited number (1000 I think) Odeon tickets for £5 ( with a maximum purchase of 2). I tried to purchase a pair in the early hours of the morning as I was still awake but the page would time me out on each occasion after a matter of seconds despite the app having my card details. As a result, I logged it with the Virgin Red Support team who after several emails confirmed that there had been a technical issue affecting some users and for me to try again. Unfortunately, by the time I logged into the app again around 8:30ish, the tickets had already been sold.

    Bit pants really but I was wondering if you or anyone you know encountered similar problems? Perhaps there are other users out there who were successful in procuring some tickets?!

      Sorry I can’t help with that. You could contact the virgin red support team again and plead to their better judgement. I doubt it would work but you could try.

      That tile stays there. “Beam” hasn’t been advertised as a code yet although does appear to work, based on the comments in this thread.

  30. Fantastic blog – can’t believe I’ve only found it now! Only installed the app after Virgin Trains East Coast sent me a link – although they’re changing to LNER they have guaranteed a year’s worth of monthly points for existing customers. Now have 400 pts left for VIP Vault and 900 for Super Vault – not sure if do-able in the remaining time left or not! Also only realised about adding a referral code after had installed the app (found your site when I couldn’t work out what to put for the bonus clues) – I take it no way to add it retrospectively?

When the first selection included ‘2’ I thought I was onto something. The next had ‘5’ so I thought I’d worked it out. The final selection didn’t have a ‘0’ so I was miles off! 😀

      There is at least one more special ‘Staycation’ code which should be 100pts. Plus there should be another show & tell (50pts), another quiz (50pts) plus 5 x This and that (125pts). Thats 350 points which is real close.

      Have you tried sharing a few of the tiles (25 points a time) or updating your profile pic (25 points)? That should get you to 400, just about.

      The Clues are on the first ‘staycation’ tile on the app. You’ll see a list of them going back for the month. The answers are available on my blog, you’ll see them as just ‘clues’ at the end of certain days.

      There are 3 days left so 75 points just from This and That. Also, tomorrow we get a special ‘Staycation’ clue which gives usually between 100-200points.

      Based on that, I’d expect you to get this 100 points with no problems.

      All the codes I’ve given out are just the answers to the Questions that the Virgin Red team have put on the ‘Great British Staycation’ tile on the app. All the questions (from the 4th June) are still showing there so the answers to those questions will give you the points.

      You don’t need to read my blog-page to get the answers, you can just work them out.

      But hopefully, it helps people to have all the answers and details in one place.

      HAve you done the other items in the ‘Reverends Tips’ section of the blog?

      In the ‘normal’ offerings of the app, you have 2 x This and That (2*25pts) and you’ll get a ‘Flash Friday’ tomorrow for another 25pts. Based on the pattern of point offerings, we’d not expect another staycation code/bonus however sometimes they do drop one on the last day.

      So I expect there to be 75 points available in the game in the next 2 days, but you might get lucky.

      Don’t forget to try the other tips I give.

  63. 25 points short too! 🙁 do you think it’s worth buying a super cheap train ticket to get verified with virgin trains? I’m not 100% sure on the T&Cs of it just the verification just says if you have brought a train ticket on the West Coast Line in the last 12 months.

    What do you think Reverend?
