  1. Embarrassingly (for a money blogger) I only got 5 out of 10, but at least I was close with all of them! Thanks for a fun quiz.

    1. Hi Nick,

I didn’t want to make it too easy. I got 10/10 but I did write the questions so thats a little be cheaty! 😀

      Thanks,

      The Reverend

  2. 60p to call from a phone box? Yikes! They’re supposed to be there when you’re in dire need and just have a few pennies in your pocket. Soon you’ll have to sell a kidney at the local shop to be able to afford to call a taxi.

The prescription question makes you think the whole thing is a bit of a joke, isn’t it? £9.35 for an item, so you can spend a fortune each year while Scotland & Wales offer free prescriptions…

I’m surprised to say I got 6 / 10. Woohoo. Thanks for the quiz, good bit of fun & I learned something new! Have a good weekend 🙂

    1. Hi Caz / InvisiblyMe,

I was suprised by the cost – but then again it was 10p about 30 years ago so it was bound to go up. I double they actually cost much to run but they probably do cost a load to maintain. As a price, I think 60p isn’t too bad but the real shame is 40p is an ‘access charge’ so you only get 20p worth of calls.

With the way the government is going with the NHS I expect its more probable that Wales/Scotland would pay for prescriptions before England gets them for free.

Glad you liked the quiz – it was just something new and fun for the blog. I should write some others so there are plenty to play.

      Thanks,

      The Reverend
