Free Things To Do In London
I’ve lived here for 5 years now and it still amazes me with all the free things to do in London. No matter what your interests are, there will be something you can enjoy with zero cost to you. Here will be a list of things you can do at no charge however some of them, like the Museums, do ask for a charitable donation to help support them. Morally its your choice whether you donate or not – I’ll leave that 100% up to you.
London London London
London it the capital city of England. Greater London has a population of about 9 million people and its not hard to see what attracts those people here. We have the national stadiums on our doorstep, we have 2 major airports and a number of satellite airports (although not all of them are REALLY in London!). There are museums, theaters, art galleries, Olympic parks, National Ballet, National Opera, and plenty more all within public transport/short walk.
The Best City In The World?
I do think London is the best city in the world but you may consider me biased! It was recently voted 5th best city in the world though, and you have to admit that is pretty good! Back in 2016 we did hold the number 1 spot so there is a chance we’ll soon be retaking our crown! In 2014 it was the most desired place to work in the world – my last 4 jobs have been in London so it has certainly attracted me to its charms.
Stuff To Do
London is a great place to spend an afternoon, day or even a long weekend. I hope to be able to share with you some of the great free things to do in London. It can be an expensive city to be in but it also has plenty to keep you entertained when your budget is reduced/non-existent!
Watch Your Favourite Show Being Recorded
Did you know you can go watch your favourite TV & Radio Shows being recorded? The BBC opens all its shows with a studio audience up to the public to go and watch them being recorded.
How to book for your favourite BBC Shows being recorded.
How to watch other TV Shows being recorded.
Some of these can be booked up MONTHS in advance so make sure you have your tickets before you plan your trip to London. I’ve yet to attend a recording where they have let anyone just join the queue to attend.
See Exotic Birds
This one did surprise me. I’ve been to London Zoo but did you know that you can see a number of different birds for free in London? Not just pigeons (and there are millions of these) but other bird species do live in London and some might surprise you!
Visit the Houses of Parliament
Are you interested in politics? Perhaps you just want to see one of the oldest buildings in London. Usually it can cost up-to £21 but using this neat trick you can have a visit and tour for free!
I have done this myself and it was excellent!
Lot of Free Things To Do In London
