There could also be bonus codes given out which can increase your points so keep an eye out for them on the Virgin Red twitter feed and facebook page.   1. My monthly points have now been credited apart from they seem to have deregistered me from Virgin Trains. This migration to the new system isn’t going smoothly.

  2. I contacted support and they said there’s a widespread problem with Trains which they are trying to sort and they’ll get back to me with an update when they can. I’ll let you know when I hear.

  3. Mine was the same but this morning I went into the app and tried to sign in with the verification part on virgin trains and it worked and gave me my points! Try and verify it again it worked for me!

    Does anyone remember the thortful card offer last month? I’m sure it said something about being allowed one reduced card a week until the end of the year ? I assumed we would get new codes this week or did I read it all wrong?

    1. Yes it’s every week on a Thursday. I’m sure when you get the code you have to order the card on the Thursday too else the code expires.

  10. Hi all first time commenting although I did take advantage of all the help last month.. well here’s my contribution for 100 points. I received an email from virgin red saying they miss me (not that I’ve been anywhere) and gave me a code they called ‘welcome back’ so I put it in and got 100 points. I then gave it to my sister and she put it in and also got 100 points so I don’t see why it won’t work for all of you’s.. so good luck and let me know if your successful..

  11. Love Nespresso coffee…..just got a new machine for £1 via the red app…..all I had to do was order 300 capsules which will last a long time…if you’re a coffee lover take advantage because like cafe Nero it will disappear at some point!

          1. Thortful is a card company, it’s one of the offers on the virgin red app, you get a code each day to get a card for 95p, my one today is 1GR1WXUIU4 which I won’t use

    Thanks for adding answers – concerned 27% didn’t work for you Vincent as it is clear and written in bold in the app banner and does not appear to have been changed. It might be worth contacting them, it won’t be the first time there’s been a ghost in the machine. Best of luck.

        They enjoy changing the answers! If someone gets the wrong answer they should try messaging the team through the app and often they will just credit your account the 50 points anyway.

  31. I am verified with three virgin companies and I think I’m going to be 25 points Short of the VIP vault this month! I’m pretty sure I’ve done everything I can to earn points, does anyone else find themselves in this situation?

      If you haven’t done so already you can enter my code into your invite friends but in the settings on the app which will give you 50 points

      You’ve been invited to become a member of Virgin Red. Sign up using the code I0ELPM to receive your bonus points.

    1. I’m not too sure is there a code in the box that is greyed out? If so you can only ever add one code in and it won’t let you add anymore ever so it greys it out!

        I’m not sure, but I’d expect you could only add 1 ‘referral’ otherwise it makes the whole referral thing a bit strange.

        Are you runnign the latest version of the app? If you are, try deleting the app and re-installing it to see if that helps.

  41. For the first time in ages I’m just going to scrape into the VIP Vault. This is certainly the hardest month for as long as I can remember, for getting into the VIP Vault.

    First of all, huge thanks to the Reverend for this fabulous blog, much appreciated.

    A quick question to the Reverend’s congregants; has anyone won any of the Virgin Red prizes? I’ve been playing religiously for almost a year now and I’ve never won a single prize. I’ve played all the quizzes, including most Reverse Auctions, I’ve unlocked nearly every single vault – every single month of playing and my email alerts are switched on and yet I haven’t won anything, not even the tiniest, cheapest little prize. I’m wondering what the odds of this are given my frequency of play.

    I’d love to hear your thoughts. Many thanks in advance.

Keep playing, I’ve actually been really lucky and win lots, a weekend in Paris (which I swapped for lots of other virgin experience day as I didn’t want it) a few bottles of wine, cinema tickets, free ice cream, gym membership (couldn’t use – too far away) box of chocolates and maybe a few other things. I was one if the first users when the app launched and odds were better, but I win the Paris trip this year, so keep playing!!

    In answer to Gay’s question: I have won before, a long time ago now. A bottle of fizz, a free ice cream and I think something else too but I can’t remember now. I think it’s got harder now due to the amount of people playing.

  49. Won a couple of tubs of ice cream, a gym membership but couldn’t use it as their isn’t one close by and got an email last week to say I had won two cinema tickets from October’s vaults and I have been playing for a year now with lots of thanks to the Reverend

I started playing last year then was surpringly lucky as I was 1 of the 4 winners of the September 2017 ” live like a rock “star competition with amazing prizes across the Virgin group of companies. We are still drinking the 52 bottles of prosecco and went to Vietnam with the holiday voucher and have the air miles left to use on a trip for 2 to Hong Kong. Plus I have a great Samsung phone and have just used the last of the virgin experience day voucher money. I can’t thank the Reverend enough for this site as it helped me get the last few codes I needed last year. I gave the gym membership to my daughter who loves it. Needless to say I still keep playing!!

  50. Just going to make it with just 25 points to spare so I won’t be able to roll over tomorrow’s quiz and today’s show and tell and that looks like I won’t make VIP in December. Won a few small prizes in the past, mostly for Virgin Media verified specials on the small tiles which seem to have dried up this year. Did win a pair of Odeon tickets from last month’s vault though.

  53. Well, I’ve tried twice to get the Virgin credit card to use for flight miles, but once again I have been rejected. My experience score is excellent. I’m co-director of a consultancy. My salary is great. I pay off my credit card every month. I have zero debt. I cannot register to vote as I am not a citizen yet. I’m reading that they are rejecting me because I’m not the kind of person they want for their credit cards. So, no air miles. I won’t be getting Virgin Media in December as I had planned. If I’m not good enough for them, then I’ll take my business elsewhere. I have flown to the states twice this year. Guess Virgin only wants my information but not my business. Anyone else had this problem?

    3. Hi Carol,

      My guess is that not being a ‘citizen’ is your biggest problem. Where I work we had people move over from Ireland to the UK and they couldn’t get credit cards. After 1 year I think HSBC offered them a CC with a £250 limit but that was it.

      Perhaps Virgin are just being tighter at the moment with the unknown UK Political future.

      I wouldn’t read too much into it, but if you wanted further clarity see what MSE soft-credit checker (doesn’t appear on your credit search) offers you.

  54. I’m 25 points short this morning of the VIP vault. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can scrape in? As far as I’m aware I’ve done everything this month and can’t enter a referral code as it’s greyed out (mine is J5YRTA if anyone can add me so we both get bonus points?!). Thank you all.

  56. Why all the moaning about not winning, it’s the same old comments month after month?

    It’s a free quiz!!! There will always be winners and losers in all areas of life, is it really that important if a voucher for a free tub of ice cream or the like drops through your letterbox? I wish people would just enter into the spirit of it with the attitude that if they do win anything then it’s a nice surprise and not sit there whining about never winning anything. Not everyone can be a winner.

Dianne dear, nobody is moaning, people are just sad that they’ve not won anything which is a natural response, it’s not a ‘quiz either it’s a game where the aim is to collect enough points to be in with a chance of winning a little something, everyone is only playing it in the hope that they win something
