Virgin Red are back with another competition – 12 Vaults of Christmas! There are a number of prizes you can win by taking part everyday. There could also be bonus codes given out which can increase your points so keep an eye out for them on the Virgin Red twitter feed and facebook page.   1. It’s only day one and I’m sitting on 1,250 points and I’ve opened seven out of twelve vaults. Not a bad start at all! It does help being verified with three companies though…

    Good luck everybody, looks like a huge target to get all the vaults this time around. Don’t forget to share five random pages and change your profile picture in the app for easy extra points. Thanks for all your great work Reverend!

  3. For bonus clues I don’t have anything on the carousel to enter codes as I used to but did finally manage to get the entry screen up by going into the question itself on the main even. Very convoluted!

Alan, if you read the tile about the theme this month it explains that you get there from the main carousel as this is where the clue is, they’re obviously expecting people to guess the clue themselves , the other way of getting the clue entry bit up is straight from the settings menu, you can always get to it even if the tile is not there

      That is probably a one of the daily clues they are giving out. I don’t tend to put these in my blog but people do guess what the answers may be and when they find one they post them in the comments.

  11. Not sure if it’s the time I’m trying to do it but kiss, kissing don’t seem to be working in either caps or lower case or various combinations……unless I’ve been using mistletoe incorrectly for all these years

    5. I got in contact with virgin red on Facebook and they said there’s a problem with the code today and they are working on it and will contact me when the issue is resolved they have also taken the tile away so they can sort it as soon as I hear back I’ll post in the comments

    1. Hi Georgina,

      When I type the code in, sometimes my phone adds a space (‘ ‘) to what I’ve typed. Try again and make sure there is no space after it.

      I’ve just tried to enter the code again and the app told me ‘sorry, you’ve used the code before’.

  28. Just been looking through the Virgin Red social pages for extra points and noticed that the Virgin Red Facebook page quietly restarted Win It Wednesdays last week. Might be worth keeping an eye out; there’s no extra points for it; but it is another opportunity to win things and some of the previous prizes were quite good

    Norway gifts the Christmas tree for Trafalgar Square every year and has done since the war I believe. The link to Germany comes from the Royal family who originally came from there and started some of the traditions in Victorian times we now celebrate. So one could argue while they lost the war they won Christmas and are partly responsible for our current insatiable commercial appetites.

        It wasn’t a ‘secret’ answer, it was a guessed answer.

        As long as you’ve got the points, I don’t think it really matters. I remember last year they had a weekly prize where you had to get all of the week’s daily answers to be able to eligible for that week’s prize draw. People were guessing at the daily answers from Day 1 and so got their points (and into the final vault) really quickly. It did mean they missed out on 4 of the bonus prize draws though.

  52. I have 10 tiles showing for today, but none of them are for the bonus points. It isn’t on the carousel either when you go into December vaults. Although I haven’t done the bonus answer, as I don’t have the page to input it, the carousel is showing all points earned. Is anyone else having issues today?

    1. The answer should have been Annie Lennox but it wasn’t accepted. I think someone at virgin red had spelled it incorrectly, so I think they’ve taken it down for the time being, and it will probably reppear later today, probably with a different clue.

  99. Hello everyone. For those of you struggling to get into the last vault this may help. If you are close and are not yet verified with virgin trains west coast you could try buying a ticket online. This has been suggested before by others but I’ve been trying to find the cheapest ticket you could get. So if you were to register and buy a ticket online today and never use it then the cheapest ticket I can find is from Birmingham Internatonal to Coventry. If you find the virgin trains service then it’s just £1.90. Adult. And less for a child…. (95p). I hope this helps someone

      Got an account and bought cheapest ticket(2.50). Unfortunately, when I tried to get the account verified it keeps saying that the verification system is down and to try later! Have been trying since yesterday afternoon!
      425 short of final vault but have enjoyed playing each day! So thanks to all! Happy New Year when it comes!

    Don’t panic.
    You get a minimum of 50 points for the daily clue; so 100 points in 2 days
    2 days of this and that gives you another 50 points
    Monday’s quiz gives another 50 points
    That makes the 200 you need

  101. There’s a number of ways to can get points if you haven’t done the following already.

    – change your display photo and get 50 points
    – share something like when you do a this or that you share it in a text or WhatsApp etc and you can do this 5 times and get 25 points each time so you get 125 points
    -join virgin Atlantic and get verified you will then get an additional 250 points a month
    -add an invite code and get 50 points

    Hope this helps you all that still need points

    1. Have you used share?
      Share one of the things you’ve done using the share button. Go to email it for example. Go to compose email and then exit back out of email and you will get 25 points. You can do this 5 times!
      Giving you those points you need…

    Not going to make it this month. I missed two Fridays due to commitments so I’m 125 points short. I was hoping there’s was going to be a ‘surprise’ in an email, notification as promised at the beginning of the month.
