A recommendation from a user of a forum I read suggested giving RedWigWam a try to see whether I liked its task-based job system.
I set up an account and there were no jobs waiting for me. This was to be expected as it uses your profile to see what jobs best match the things you say about yourself. Being based in London I knew that there should be lots of jobs available but the challenge would be getting to them in time before other people do.
This is my diary of how my trial of it has gone.

So far I have received 1 job offer via email. By the time I logged in, the offer had gone! Everyone was much quicker than me off the mark. I’m not sure I can be much quicker than I am, so hopefully I will get a job offer at a time when other people are busy or asleep! I checked continuously through-out the day and no other jobs appeared.

Red WigWam Brand Ambassador
This role is ideally suited to a student, or anyone with a large network. Your job is to make Red WigWam a part of everyone’s life – we’re revolutionising the recruitment process and we need you to be a part of it! As one of the team, you’ll be given an amazing opportunity to gain important career skills and receive a well earned rewards package. As a Red WigWam Brand Ambassador you will ideally need to: be registered on Red WigWam, a student/in a large network, have imagination, determination and charm, be confident yet approachable. Your role will be to encourage individuals to register on Red WigWam and complete their profiles. You will need to give others your name/a code unique to you which they will enter in the ‘Reference Code’ section of our registration form. For each new worker that registers using your code we will pay you £1. Just think… 50 friends = an easy £50! You will start by working 4 hours per week and we expect you to get a minimum of 25 signups in these 4 hours. This means your earning potential is over £50 a week for just 4 hours! Expectations: Deliver key campaigns and activities on campus each term, Amplify all your amazing work through social media, Manage your time and fit in your tasks around your studies.
This doesn’t seem like something I can do. 25 sign ups in 4 hours would be ace, but 1 every ten minutes would be hard work. The 2 jobs was actually just two different shifts. If it was just a sign-up referral incentive it could be possible but so far I’ve not earnt any money from RWW so i’m not sure I want to recommend them to anyone in my network just yet.

Still only the 1 Ambassador role available for me. … but later in the afternoon, things change! While on the tube I get an email from RWW about a new job!
The email is timed at 5.44pm and I’ve got it at 5.47pm. Innocent drinks are great and the idea of earning an easy £8.25 means this will definitely be my first job. Although I am on the tube, I’m above ground so my 4G is working fine. I quickly log into my RWW account.
Yes! There is still a job available. Its been 3 minutes since the email came out and I know they go quickly so I click through to book it immediately.
Denied! Still only the Brand Ambassador role. No Innocent Smoothie jobs available. BOOOOOO! I was teased in by the email and there was only the Brand Ambassador role there. Not sure I can click through much faster than I did. I do also check the site during the day but nothing else came up. I’ll try again tomorrow.

I clicked through thinking it was my lucky day! 15 Jobs for Asda.
We have some quick in-store audits to complete in Asda stores. We have planned some in store sampling and we need you to make sure that it is there and being done properly! You will need to attend the Asda store that you book between 11AM and 5PM on Saturday 30/01/16 – one store per person please! The task is very simple and all you have to do is: 1) We need to check sampling stand compliance in store, usually stand is up and running by 11am. Is it there, is it manned? 2) Check and make note if stand is all present & correct (fully innocent branded stand with header board) 3) Take a photo of the sampling activity and note the location / aisle EG: http://postimg.org/image/5ue4busqx/ Each store only needs to be visited once and MUST be visited on 30/1/16 AFTER 11 AM and BEFORE 5PM. This is for ONE day only and ONE store per person! Please then upload your photo of the stand and answers to the question.
Unfortunately, none were local so I couldn’t accept them. The 16th Job was the Brand Ambassador.
I received no email regarding the Asda jobs so maybe they were released earlier and all the ones local to me went quickly.
I got an email from RWW at 5.37pm telling me there were Asda jobs available. I logged in to check and there was 1 job available….as a Brand Ambassador!

Logged in this morning and there were NO jobs at all for RWW. I’m glad I don’t get my hopes up seeing 1 job available and then it only being a ‘Brand Ambassador’! I will check the site during the day and see if anything becomes available.

I got an email from RWW about a job next to where I was. I thought I doubt it would still be there when I logged in. But it was!
I managed to get booked in.
Maybe RedWigWam will work for me going forward. Based on this job I will continue to monitor RWW for jobs…. I will write a seperate blog post for my first RedWigWam job.
